My passion is helping you become pain-free, more mobile and energised, so you can enjoy the life you love.

Carolyn Greenhalgh, Registered Osteopath

My Story

My original interest in Osteopathy began as a child of seven years of age. Following a break to my leg and intense ballet training, I suffered recurring pelvis and back problems. My dance teacher introduced me to an Osteopath and I was able to continue my dancing passion. The help I received to get me back to full health has always stayed with me..

I began my career as a Fitness Instructor, trained for 2 years at The Northern Institute of Massage, qualifying in 1992 as a Remedial Massage Therapist.

Before embarking on Osteopathic training, I worked in private practice as a Remedial Massage Therapist acquiring Cranio-sacral Therapy I and Cranio-sacral Therapy II with The Upledger Institute in 1994 and 1995, respectively.

After attending Oxford Brookes University, I graduated with a BSc Degree in Osteopathy in January 1999.

As part of of Continued Professional Development requirement of The General Osteopathic Council, I actively attend post-graduate courses and have a particular interest in:-

- Pilates and Exercise

- Pregnancy Care and Exercise Prescription for the Childbearing Year

- Orthotics (insoles) as part of a Bio-Mechanical Assessment with a Podiatrist

- Shoulder rehabilitation

- I provide Nutritional support with support from World leading Clinical Nutritionist teams at Nutri Advanced and Modere Europe

I am registered with The General Osteopathic Council Ref Number 3/3774/F and am a Full Member of the Institute of Osteopathy or iO.

I hope to meet you soon.

Real people, real results

"I have been seeing Carolyn for many years. I have been impressed with her ability to keep my "creaky" back stable allowing me to keep very active. Carolyn makes time to listen and to understand the whole person. Thank you."
