Carolyn Greenhalgh trained for 3 years at Oxford Brookes University and graduated with a BSc Degree in Osteopathy in January 1999.

She is registered with The General Osteopathic Council Ref no 3/3774/F and is a Full Member of the Institute of Osteopathy or iO,  formerly The British Osteopathic Association.

Her original interest in Osteopathy began as a child of seven years of age. Following a break to her leg and intense ballet training, she suffered recurring pelvis and back problems. Her dance teacher introduced her to an Osteopath and she was able to continue her dancing passion.

Carolyn began her career as a Fitness Instructor working in gyms and health centres, during which she trained at The Northern Institute of Massage, qualifying in 1992 as a Remedial Massage Therapist.

Before embarking on her Osteopathic training, she worked in private practice as a Remedial Massage Therapist acquiring Cranio-sacral Therapy I and Cranio-sacral Therapy II with The Upledger Institute in 1994 and 1995 respectively.

After 3-years study Carolyn qualified with a BSc Osteopathy degree from Oxford Brookes University.

Carolyn attends Post Graduate courses as part of the Continued Professional Development requirement of The General Osteopathic Council and keeps a particular interest in :-

Pilates, Yoga and Exercise Therapies for management and maintenance of the body. Carolyn is currently training with BASI Pilates to become a  Mat work Pilates instructor , and wishes to use it in her practice to help her patients.

- Pregnancy Care and Exercise Prescription for the Childbearing Year.  Carolyn studied Osteopathy and Pregnancy Care with Averille Morgan, author of Healthy Pregnancy and Exercise Prescription, and with  the Fit Back and Bumps team at St Mary's Hospital Manchester.

- The use of Orthotics (insoles) as part of a Bio-Mechanical Assessment with a Podiatrist.

Nutrition with the help from the Clinical Nutritionist team at Nutri West.
